Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Peabody
Description: Full Time
Responsibilities:
Reports directly to Superintendent. Specific responsibilities include:
- Working knowledge of and ability to repair and replace items such as:
a. Carpentry: doors, locks, windows, medicine cabinets, sheetrock, ceramic tile, and painting.
b. Plumbing: faucets, bath vanity, toilets, drains, PVC, copper, garbage disposals.
c. Heating: thermostats, valves, base board, Whalen motors.
d. Electrical: switches, smoke detectors, lights, outlets, circuit breakers, and roof exhaust motors.
e. Appliances: Stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and air conditioners. - Experience with power tools and drain equipment.
- Prepare apartments for new occupancy. Sign and date apartment checklist form for Superintendent.
- Snow removal and exterior ground keeping if necessary.
- Gas pumps – To do preventative maintenance on them.
- Pool – to clean and maintain as needed.
- To cut shades and install.
- To make new screens and install.
- Roof – To make repairs as needed on rubber roof.
- Intercom – To program new tenants info or update current tenant phone number.
- Masonry – To do repairs on walkways and building as needed.
