Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:
The maintenance supervisor will be responsible for the Supervision and direction of the Maintenance staff, while keeping a hands-on approach to the property maintenance.

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Reports to: Property Manager

Type of Position: Full-time 40 hours, Benefits eligible

Essential Duties:

• Train and supervise new hires.
• Plumbing: Minor plumbing repairs.
• Drywall repair: Filling holes, repair from wear and tear.
• Painting: Includes minor touch-ups following damage repair and apartment turns.
• Appliance Repair: Minor repair of appliances in apartments.
• Grounds: Ensure the grounds are kept free and clear of trash, plantings and other obstacles.
• Snow Removal: Filling in when the vendor is unavailable to apply salt and clear emergency lanes.
• Customer Service: Maintaining a professional, prompt and courteous manner with residents, vendors, visitors and other staff.
• On Call: Taking on call on a rotating basis. Responding to emergency maintenance calls.
• Meet with the Property Manager and/or Regional Manager on a regular basis.
• Understand the budget and make purchases with the scope of the position.
• Provide written reports as required.
• Keep property logs for the funding source, owners and management.

Qualifications

• Must follow oral and written communication.
• Have some experience in property maintenance a plus.
